Personal Messages
Personal Messages let your guests leave notes, well-wishes, or memories for you. You control whether messages are shown publicly, moderated first, or kept private.
Enabling messages
- Go to Personal Messages in your event sidebar (under Features)
- Click Enable Messages
- Choose a visibility mode
Visibility modes
| Mode | How it works |
|---|---|
| Auto-publish | Messages appear on your public event page immediately |
| Moderated | You approve each message before it appears publicly |
| Private | Only you can see messages — they’re never shown publicly |
You can change the visibility mode at any time. Existing messages keep their current approval status.
Moderating messages
When visibility is set to Moderated, new messages arrive as Pending. From the Personal Messages page you can:
- Approve — make the message visible on your public event page
- Reject — hide the message from public view
- Undo — reset a decision back to pending if you clicked the wrong button
Pending messages always appear at the top of your list so they’re easy to find.
How guests leave messages
Guests leave messages on your public event page when they’re signed in. Each guest can leave one message per event — if they submit again, it replaces their previous message.
Messages on the dashboard
Your dashboard shows a Personal Messages widget with the total message count and how many are awaiting moderation.
Moderator access
If you’ve invited a moderator to help manage your event, they can approve and reject messages but cannot change visibility settings or delete messages.
