Security & Teams

The Security page lets you invite other people to help manage your event. There are two roles you can assign: Manager and Moderator.

Roles

Owner

The person who created the event. Owners have full access to everything and are the only ones who can:

  • Delete the event
  • Generate invite links for managers and moderators
  • Remove team members

Manager

Managers have the same access as the owner, except they cannot delete the event or manage other team members. Managers can:

  • Edit event details, theme, and invitation design
  • Manage the guest list and send invites
  • Moderate messages and photos
  • Enable and disable features
  • Change event status

Moderator

Moderators have very limited access — they can only moderate content. Moderators can:

  • Approve or reject personal messages
  • Approve or hide photo uploads
  • Undo moderation decisions (in case of accidental clicks)

Moderators cannot:

  • View or change event details, theme, or invitation design
  • See the guest list or security settings
  • Change any settings or event status
  • Delete messages or photos
  • Upload photos

Moderators only see the Live Photo Uploads and Personal Messages pages in the sidebar.

Inviting team members

  1. Go to Security in your event sidebar (under Basics)
  2. Choose a role: Manager or Moderator
  3. Click Generate Invite Link
  4. Copy the link and share it with the person you want to invite

Invite links expire after 48 hours. The person needs to sign in to Oksyon and click the link to accept.

Managing your team

The Security page shows all current team members with their role. As the owner, you can:

  • Remove any team member at any time
  • Revoke unused invite links

Team members (managers and moderators) can leave the event on their own by clicking Leave on the Security page.

Tips

  • Use moderators for friends or family members helping out on the event day — they can keep the photo gallery and messages clean without accidentally changing settings
  • Use managers for co-organisers who need full control (e.g. a wedding planner)
  • You can have multiple managers and moderators on the same event
